About Dr. Emma Ivens
Dr Ivens then completed a post graduate echocardiography fellowship at the Prince Charles Hospital in Brisbane, followed by a further year of specialized training in advanced echocardiography at St Paul’s Hospital, University of British Columbia, Vancouver Canada.
On her return to Australia in 2007, she joined Queensland Cardiology at St Vincents Private Hospital, Northside in Brisbane and is also employed as a VMO specialist at the Prince Charles Hospital. She has publications in the areas of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, valvular heart disease, complex aortic pathology, pericardial disease and procedural echocardiology including ASD/PFO device closure and percutaneous heart valves.
Dr Ivens is involved in cardiac research and is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland. She is available for all types of cardiology consultations, stress testing, stress echocardiography, transthoracic echocardiography and transoesophageal echocardiography.
